A Practice that Grows Naturally
One of the questions we hear most often is, "Where should I begin?"
The answer isn't a particular SolaraGem. Like any craft, there is a natural progression. You begin with a few fundamentals, become familiar with them through experience, and gradually expand as your understanding grows.
That's exactly how this system developed, and it's still how we recommend learning it today.
Before we go further, it helps to clarify one point of terminology.
Each SolaraGem is a permanently sealed combination of carefully selected crystals and a specific color filter. These combinations were developed through years of practical observation and refinement to provide a consistent, repeatable experience.
Every SolaraGem is named after the crystal that shapes its predominant character, even though each contains supporting stones that contribute to its overall qualities.
Throughout this site, when we refer to an Amethyst SolaraGem or sometimes simply "Amethyst" we're referring to one of these complete combinations—not just an individual crystal.
One SolaraGem
A Simple Beginning
If you're looking for the simplest introduction, we recommend beginning with the Amethyst SolaraGem.
Placed over the crown, it introduces the central idea behind everything you've read so far: creating conditions that support presence, perspective, and the body's natural capacity to return toward balance.
For many people, this single SolaraGem is enough to begin exploring the practice and discovering whether this approach resonates with them.
Three SolaraGems
The Triple Crown
For those who want the fullest introduction to the system, we recommend the Triple Crown.
Together, the Amethyst, Rose Quartz, and Carnelian SolaraGems create the foundational practice we've described in detail.
Each SolaraGem has its own distinct character and gradually becomes useful in many other ways as your familiarity with the system grows.
We've encouraged beginning with state rather than chasing individual symptoms. That remains the foundation of our approach. At the same time, we recognize that most people arrive here because they're looking for help with something specific. The descriptions below reflect the patterns we've consistently observed through years of practical experience. They aren't meant to replace thoughtful care, but to help you understand where each SolaraGem most naturally fits.
The Amethyst SolaraGem establishes the foundation of the system by supporting presence, perspective, and a quieter, more settled state.
Because of that, it's also the SolaraGem we most often recommend for many of the concerns that bring people to us in the first place, including chronic pain, stress, anxiety, sleep challenges, and supporting healthy gut function.
The Rose Quartz SolaraGem supports emotional openness, connection, and the heart-centered aspects of the Triple Crown. While it also supports the heart, lungs, and skin, its greatest contribution is helping restore emotional balance—an influence that quietly affects every other part of the healing process.
The Carnelian SolaraGem supports vitality, adaptation, and healthy nervous system function through the vagus nerve.
It is also one of the most broadly useful SolaraGems in the system, commonly used to support energy, circulation, the prostate, adrenals, sinuses, and—perhaps most importantly—the spleen, which has become one of the two foundational practices within the SolaraGem system.
The Second Foundational Practice
While the Carnelian SolaraGem plays an important role in the Triple Crown, it also introduces what has become the second foundational practice within the SolaraGem system.
Regular Spleen Support.
Over years of observation, this simple placement proved so consistently valuable that it became a practice we return to again and again. While the Triple Crown establishes the foundation of state, Spleen Support complements that foundation by supporting the body's adaptive capacity in a way that influences many aspects of everyday health and vitality.
We'll explore why the spleen plays such an important role on the next page. For now, it's simply helpful to know that the Triple Crown setup covers both foundational practices and much more.
Seven SolaraGems
The Core Seven
As experience accumulated, four additional SolaraGems consistently proved valuable across an even broader range of everyday situations.
The Emerald SolaraGem expands support for acute situations, recovery, and areas that benefit from calming and restoring healthy balance.
The Ruby SolaraGem is frequently chosen when greater movement, circulation, tissue recovery, and healing support are desired.
The Citrine SolaraGem provides broad whole-body support and is a favorite for promoting vitality, healthy energy, digestion, and supporting the body's natural detoxification processes.
The Aquamarine SolaraGem adds support for the throat, voice, cooling, and soothing applications while complementing many of the other SolaraGems.
Together with the Triple Crown, these form what we call the Core Seven.
For many practitioners, the Core Seven becomes the foundation from which they support the vast majority of situations encountered in everyday practice. For many families, it provides a remarkably complete foundation for everyday wellness.
The Palette Grows with Understanding
The Core Seven isn't the end of the journey.
Over time, additional SolaraGems naturally found their place as practitioners encountered new situations, refined their observations, and discovered where particular combinations consistently broadened what the system could support.
That's why the broader SolaraGem palette exists. It wasn't designed all at once. It grew naturally as understanding grew through experience.
A musician doesn't begin by learning every instrument. An artist doesn't begin by mastering every color. The palette grows through practice.
SolaraGem is no different.
Begin where you are.
Learn the foundations.
Allow your experience to guide what comes next.
Like any craft, the palette grows naturally with understanding.
